ANTARES CLASS23rd Century Cargo Ship
The ScreencapsThe USS Antares is from the remastered Star Trek episode "Charlie X". In the original opening shot, Captain Kirk's log states that the Enterprise is "now maneuvering to come alongside cargo vessel Antares." The original shot only shows us the Enterprise, but the remastered version adds the Antares NCC-501 to be consistent with the narration.

The design is very reminiscient of the two robot cargo vessels seen in the Animated Star Trek episode "More Tribbles, More Troubles".

The 3D ModelHere is my (second) attempt at recreating the ship. The five screencaps above plus a very distant shot of the USS Woden from "The Ultimate Computer" were my only references. Built using Hexagon, textured using Paintshop Pro, rendered in Poser 7.
The DownloadsThe download is free. You can do anything you want with it, and I don't require any of those obnoxious credits to be plastered all over your beautiful renders. It has been tested in Poser 7 and Daz Studio 3 by the gang over on DeviantArt: Arcass, Drell-7, and Karanua. A very excellent Lightwave 9.6 version was converted by Dave Ledwith aka Karanua.
I did the best I could, but it's still a learning process for me. If you download this and find that something doesn't work, you can send me an email and tell me what the problem is. Who knows... maybe I know how to fix it. :-)
