24th Century Starfighter

The Inspiration

Those of you who played the old computer game Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom will immediately recognize the main inspiration for the Banshee class — the Black Lance's Dragon class fighter. I always liked it, so I used its basic shape and added some Star Trek elements to it, like the warp drive and the navigational deflectors.

The 3D Model

Built using Hexagon 2.5 and Carrara 5, textured using UVMapper Classic and Paintshop Pro 7 , rendered in Carrara and Poser 6.

The Downloads

The download is free. You can do anything you want with it, and I don't require any of those obnoxious credits to be plastered all over your beautiful renders. I used Poser 6 in the creation of the files. I have no idea if they will work in different versions. Poser 5 and 7 should be okay. Poser 4 might need some tweaking with the materials.
