23rd Century Starfighter

 

The Inspiration

My model of the Tomcat class starfighter is based on a plain line drawing of the "F-14 Warp Fighter" on the Starship Schematics Database web site. Jay P. Hailey is using them in the Banshee Squadron story he is writing, so I thought I'd try making a model.

 

 

The 3D Model

Here is my attempt at recreating the ship. Mine turned out a little slimmer and less 'shuttlecrafty' than the line drawing.

Built using Hexagon 2, textured using Paintshop Pro 7, rendered in Poser 6.

 

 

The Downloads

The download is free. You can do anything you want with it, and I don't require any of those obnoxious credits to be plastered all over your beautiful renders. I used Poser 6 and Vue 5 Esprit in the creation of the files. I have no idea if they will work in different versions.
